HookFix Privacy Policy

HookFix is a creator-assist product for generating and improving short-form video hooks. This page explains the baseline privacy terms for the current product experience, including account data, AI prompt processing, saved history, favorites, support requests, optional lead capture, and subscription billing.

Con tu consentimiento para analítica, PostHog recibe eventos del producto y puede asociarlos a tu cuenta. Con tu consentimiento para publicidad, Google Ads y TikTok pueden recibir visitas, registros, primeras generaciones e inicios de pago. No enviamos tus textos creativos ni tu correo a TikTok. Si la integración está configurada, el servidor puede comunicar una compra confirmada por Stripe con importe, moneda e identificador de usuario seudonimizado mediante hash SHA-256.

Guardamos tus opciones en hookfix:privacy-consent:v1 y volvemos a pedirlas después de 180 días o de un cambio de versión. La atribución de campaña se guarda solo con permiso; gclid, ttclid y la cookie _ttp se usan solo con permiso publicitario. Al retirar ese permiso eliminamos la atribución publicitaria local y solicitamos la revocación a los proveedores cargados. Los proveedores pueden conservar información ya recibida según sus propias políticas.

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how HookFix collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the HookFix website, app, support flow, and related billing or marketing experiences.

This first-pass policy is intentionally tied to the product behavior that exists in the repository today. It does not promise features or controls that are not yet live.

Data we collect

Account and identity data: email address, authenticated user ID, and subscription-related profile fields used to identify your account and manage access.

Creator input and saved content: the text you submit for hook generation or improvement, selected generation options such as niche or tone, generated hook results, saved generation history, and favorite hooks.

Usage and product data: usage counts, timestamps, plan status, and event-level product interactions that help operate entitlements, debug issues, and understand how the product is used.

Support and communication data: support ticket subject lines and messages you send through the in-app support flow, plus optional lead-capture emails submitted on the landing page for creator tips or product updates.

Billing data: Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, and billing-portal metadata needed to manage paid plans. HookFix does not store your full card number.

Consent and advertising attribution data: your optional analytics and advertising choices, campaign parameters, and—only after advertising consent—TikTok click or browser identifiers used to attribute registrations, checkout starts, and confirmed payments.

How we use data

Provide the service, including account sign-in, hook generation, saving history and favorites, usage-limit enforcement, and account-level subscription access.

Process your requests, including support messages, billing actions, and optional lead capture for creator tips or product updates.

Send essential service communications when needed for account access, billing, support, security, or legal compliance. These operational messages are different from optional marketing or product-update emails.

Operate and improve HookFix, including product analytics, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Comply with legal obligations and maintain records needed for security, fraud prevention, billing, and dispute handling.

Third-party services and processors

Supabase provides authentication, database storage, and Edge Function infrastructure for account records, saved product data, support records, and operator-managed workflows.

OpenAI processes hook-generation input and related prompt context when you use the AI generation or improvement features.

Stripe processes checkout, subscription billing, billing-portal actions, and related financial records for paid plans.

PostHog may process identified product analytics data when analytics is enabled in the active environment.

Google Ads and TikTok may process campaign, browser, and conversion data only when you grant advertising consent. Confirmed paid conversions may be sent from HookFix's server to TikTok when the checkout preserved that consent.

Resend may be used for support-related email delivery where that workflow is enabled.

These providers act only on the parts of the product experience where their services are needed. HookFix does not treat every provider as a system of record for all user data.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential browser storage supports sign-in, security, language choice, saved drafts, billing returns, and your privacy preference. Campaign attribution is optional, not essential. These essential functions remain available when you reject optional tracking.

Analytics storage is optional and allows PostHog to receive privacy-safe product events. Advertising storage is optional and allows Google Ads and TikTok Pixel to measure campaign performance.

Optional analytics and advertising tools stay off until you grant the corresponding choice. You can reopen Privacy choices at any time to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent stops future optional capture on this browser; third parties may retain data already received under their applicable retention rules.

International transfers

HookFix relies on service providers that may process data in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions where our providers operate.

Retention

We keep account records, generation history, favorites, and subscription-linking data while your account remains active and while that data is reasonably needed to operate the service and preserve account continuity.

Usage logs may be kept while they are reasonably needed for quota enforcement, debugging, abuse prevention, billing support, or dispute handling.

Support tickets may be kept while a request is open and afterward for a reasonable support-history window, subject to deletion or anonymization when appropriate.

Marketing lead emails may be retained until they are no longer needed for updates, you unsubscribe, or you ask us to delete them.

Stripe billing records may need to be kept longer than ordinary application data for financial, tax, legal, fraud, or dispute reasons.

We may keep limited records for security, billing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution even after other data is deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can manage paid billing directly through Stripe from the HookFix account area when billing access is available on your account.

If you want to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, contact HookFix support through the in-app support flow. Data-rights requests are currently handled manually while a self-serve privacy center is not yet live.

If you do not want to submit optional lead-capture information, you can use HookFix without providing that landing-page email field.

You can reject optional analytics and advertising without losing access to HookFix. Use the Privacy choices control to review or withdraw those permissions at any time.

If you do submit that optional lead form, HookFix may send creator tips, product updates, or similar lifecycle-style emails that are separate from required account, billing, or support messages. To stop those optional updates or remove that lead record, contact HookFix support.

AI-generated output

HookFix uses AI to generate hook suggestions from the information you provide. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before publishing or using it in your business or creator workflow.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as HookFix evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and align related product disclosures as needed.
